It was the first day of Hogwarts for Adam. He had met the Hogwarts Express and took the long ride alone, to Hogwarts. He had stayed by himself on the train, and hadn't talked to anybody. He was extremely nervous, and had no idea what the school would be like. But so far it seemed to be okay, as people were nice during the sorting. The whole Hufflepuff house cheered when Adam got sorted into Hogwarts, and it made him feel pretty good. He didn't talk to any of the Hufflepuffs when he had sat down at their table though, all he could do was nervously smile at them. He wasn't used to all the attention.
Adam had woken up that morning a little scared, and confused. It took him a couple minutes to remember where he was. He was a early riser, usually waking up at 6 or 7 in the morning. Nobody else in the boy's dorm room was up, and he didn't see anybody in the Hufflepuff common room, or the halls. Adam headed down towards the Great Hall, knowing exactly where he was going since he had tried hard to remember it the night before.
The doors the the Great Hall were closed, and it took Adam some time to open them as they were extremely heavy. Surprisingly there were actually a couple people there. It seemed a couple Ravenclaws were early risers too, as they were sitting at there table eating their meal. Nobody paid attention to Adam, which he didn't mind. He found the Hufflepuff table, and sat down at it. He then thought of what to have for breakfast.

Another year at Hogwarts. To Jasper, it was actually nice to be back at the school. Things at home were ok, but everything felt so gloomy. His mother wasn't her cheerful self and his brother... well, he snapped a lot and seemed like he couldn't care less about things. Their attitudes slightly rubbed off on him, so during the ride he was a little cranky. It didn't take long for him to be his old self though. The thrills were coming soon, and he was completely prepared.
Jasper got up in the morning earlier than he would've thought he would. Nobody in the dorm was awake, which was typical. People slept in a little bit their first morning. He didn't fall asleep until one in the morning because there was quite a bit on his mind. Actually, he only got five hours of sleep. The morning was a little slow and he took his time getting out. He got dressed slowly and went off to go get something to eat. His stomach was growling on his way and he was in desperate need of a good ol' breakfast.
When he got down to the Great Hall, there wasn't many people there. A couple Ravenclaws, a Hufflepuff, and a Slytherin. He started to walk to the Gryffindor table but stopped before sitting down. The time was a mystery to him since he didn't pay attention to the clock at all. Nobody was close by except for a young looking boy who was probably a first year. Jasper smiled a little and tapped his shoulder. "G'morning." He greeted happily. His bangs were little messy and covering his eyes and well, by the looks of it he wasn't a morning person. "Sorry for bothering you, but I have no idea what time it is. Do you know?" he asked. A simple conversation about time... nice.

After a couple minutes Adam decided on what to eat. He grabbed a plate and put some bacon and eggs on it. He then saw that there was fruit, so he grabbed an orange. He grabbed a cup and was about to pour some orange juice on it, when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He hand shook a little and some orange juice spilled on the table. Adam looked to see an older looking boy standing there. Adam continued pouring orange juice in his cup, then set the jug he was holding, down.
The boy asked Adam what time it was, and for a few seconds Adam didn't say or do anything. He then put his wrist towards the boy to show him Adam's watch. It was a wind up watch so it was able to work at Hogwarts, and the time read 7:19. Once Adam was sure the boy saw what time it was, he put his hand down. He then took a piece of bacon, and held it to the boy, offering him some.

Jasper awaited patiently for the response. He didn't want to seem pesky, but the boy didn't act like he minded much. When he held out his wrist to show what time it was, Jasper looked down at the watch for a couple seconds. It was a cool watch in his opinion and all the watches he had were junk. "Seven in the morning? It felt more like eight..." He murmured, leaning up a bit straiter. If he knew it was so early, he probably would've gotten up later or at least stayed in the dorm for awhile. Now what was he going to do?
He was a little surprised when Adam held out the bacon. It was a little humorous in a way and he was kind of puzzled of the quiet person. Most people he knew were, well, kind of loud. None the less, he took the piece of bacon with a slight nod. "Thanks! Bacon is probably one of my favorites to eat in the morning. My mum used to make it..." He ate the bacon happily and after a swallow, he said, "Are you a first or second year?" He thought he'd ask out of curiosity. The boy looked like he'd be a first or second year, but he could be wrong.

Standing in the entrance to the Great Hall, Faith noticed that she was one of the firsts to get up here. Her Slythiern cape was flowing out behind her as she stepped into the hall, not even saying hi to the two boys who were already at the tables, Faith made her way to her table. It was great to be back at Hogwarts, where she was as she thought the best Wizard in training. Taking a seat at Slythiern's table, Faith pushed her ruby like hair behind her left ear and took a plate from the table.
Her plate didn't fill up quickly, but there was enough food on it to cover the bottom. A few scoops of scrambled eggs, a slice of toast and a single strip of bacon. This is what Faith usually had in the morning, along with a glass of orange juice and sometimes an apple. Picking up her fork, she put some eggs onto the fork and delicately put in in her mouth. Chewing slowly she swallowed, it was great to be back at Hogwarts.

Adam just watched the boy's face when he looked at the watch. Adam then just shrugged his shoulders and ate a piece of bacon. When the boy accepted the piece of bacon, Adam smiled. He figured most people would have turned him down since it was a little odd for him to be offering a piece of bacon to somebody. Adam watched as the boy ate the bacon, then Adam began eating more of his. The boy then had asked if Adam was a first, or a second year. "First" Adam said quietly. He figured the boy was either in fourth, or fifth year, but he didn't bother asking. He knew he was one of those years.
As Adam was eating, he looked around to see a girl walk by him and the boy. To Adam the girl looked kind of snobby, but he wasn't one to judge, so he just kind of brushed her off. Adam then drank some of his orange juice, and continued eating his bacon.

Jasper noticed a little more how quiet the boy he was speaking with was. Maybe he wasn't a morning person, sort of like how Jasper was wishing he could sleep in until noon like he did over the summer time. "First year, huh? Hogwarts must be real new to you then." He said. The first year was usually the most confusing since the students had to get used to everything. "I remember my first year. It was pretty fun. The only problem I had was getting to class on time. The staircase was frustrating to get used to." He still had trouble with going through the right sets time to time.
As the slytherin passed by, Jasper turned around a bit to see if he recognized her. Actually he hadn't seen her before at all. He gave her a short smile but didn't say anything, figuring that talking to her might upset her. Slytherins could be touchy. "Well, if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer. I don't know everything, but I might be able to help." He offered, looking back over at the boy.
