it's year seven for the golden trio, and there's chaos at hogwarts. dumbledore has been killed at the hand of severus snape, and death eaters are now taking over the beloved school. it seems that the famed three will not be returning, however, and are instead off to find and destroy the remaining horcruxes. yet there are some twists in the story that everyone has seemed to miss in their accounts of this infamous tale - like severus snape, draco malfoy has become a double agent for the order and is now working rather closely with the trio. also, a rather powerful object, dark in nature, has been discovered by miss hermione granger. after studying it, she has learned the insides and outs of this magical item, however not wanting to dispel her innately good nature to create one. that still doesn't negate the fact that she knows about how they are created and what illustrious power they can channel, which ultimately serves as a problem when the dark lord discovers that this information has passed to her. draco malfoy is charged with the task of retrieving her for the dark lord, with the purpose of withdrawing the aforesaid information from her. so what is this item that voldemort covets? it's called an epicyclical charm, which essentially is a piece of jewelery that contains an individual's life. in a way, it's almost like a horcrux, but can be made without the same stipulations and simultaneously does not separate the person's soul. the charm must be destroyed in order to fully kill the individual created for, but only if the person has already been fatally injured. so what's so special about it? if the charm is destroyed, so is the individual's life source, no matter what their condition - if in possession of such a charm, you're literally wearing someone's life around your neck.
