What was your house?:
We didn't have houses in Italy, it was just one student body.
History:
Dante was born during the conflict between Wizards and Muggles when the Dark Lord was still at large. Dante's parents, both being muggles, were completely oblivious to the war around them. Yes, the was was far beyond England. The conflict of wizard superiority stretched all across the world, Voldemort was just the revolutionary leader.
After Dante's birth, he grew up like any other muggle child. His parents were both very loving and caring, and he went to school and church just like any other child. Now, Dante's parents were very religious, and that was the basis of the family strength was in God. Unfortunately, that didn't last for very long.
When Dante turned 8, weird things began to happen. Dante began to hear things, things he couldn't explain. He would be sitting alone in a room, and he would hear someone talking to him. Sure, this weirded the young boy out, but he refused to say anything to his parents, in fear they might think he was possessed.
A few years later, even stranger things began to happen. Things began to move at Dante's will, without having to touch them. His parents found out about this, and were hysterical. They claimed he was the devil, and demanded cleric after cleric to come cleanse, purify and bless the boy. But no matter what they did, the poor 11 year old boy couldn't stop.
It wasn't until that spring something arrived by owl. Through their kitchen window was a letter to a Wizarding school outside of Rome. His parents were terrified at the thought of thier son being that of magical abilities, and burned the letter. A few days later... hundreds flooded the home. Dante's parents then reevaluated thier options.
"Perhaps it is not Satan who has bestowed this curse on our boy?"
"That would explain why the clergymen can't stop and remove that curse?"
"Anton... I feel that maybe it is not a curse, but a gift God have given our child. I think God has given him this power to become something great? A sign?"
"Isabella, I see..."
The next morning, Dante was packed, and boarded on a bus to travel to Rome.
When he arrived, Dante was in awe of the spectacular things he saw at the Wizarding school. Children waving wands creating fire and walking on water. And to think... he too could learn how to do this.
Through his years of classes, he found out what his first ability was. Remember when he was 8 he could heard voices. those were actually animals. Dante had the ability to speak with animals. No one, not even to this day, can explain how or why, but he understands the thoughts of animals around him. He has developed the ability to identify who or what is talking, and even tone them down when needed.
Also, the second ability, that one was also very easily explained. His professors told him that it was a juvenile form of wandless magic. Something he would eventually learn to grow on and further develope.
Dante relayed the messages to his parents, as as reluctant as they were in the begining, they grew to adapt to the new lifestyle. For his 17th birthday, the year he graduated from school. Dante recieved a new companion. A black and white k-nine puppy was given to him as a going away present for when he went to college.
The little girl wanted to be called Fi-Fi, so that's what he named her. After wizarding school, Dante went to college in England to study animals of the wizarding world, with a major in Biology and a minor in Ecosystem Analysis. He finished school at age 21 after getting his 4 year degree, and for 4 years he students animals all across the world.
When he turned 25, he decided he wanted to share his knowledge, love, and appreciation for all of the Earth's creatures with students, and heard that one of the old Wizarding schools in Britain was being reopened. That's how Dante ended up in Hogwart's corridors as the Care of Magical Creature's professor.

What do you like doing in spare time:
Dante likes to tend to the various animals in his stables during his free time, and is a fan of quidditch. The man can't play for the death of him, but it is most certainly fun to watch.
Pet:
Dante has a black and white pit bull named Fi-Fi.
Other
Dante has the ability to speak to animals, he can understant thier thoughts, and differenciate who or what said it in a group of animals. He also has developed the ability to perform most basic and moderate level spells without a wand, thanks to the professors who trained him in wandless magic to develope those abilities.
